Mountain Harmony Music
A Little About Us
In the early fall of 2003 two ladies began talking while shopping at Walmart. As the conversation went on one of the ladies began to tell about a benifit singing for Bargain Food Store, and said they were looking for some one to sing bluegrass gospel. One of the ladies went to our church. She mentioned that she knew some young people that played and sang at our church. So Tiffany recieved a call one evening from Wayne and Mary Snipes. Mrs. Snipes told how she met the lady while shopping at Walmart and asked if we would be willing to come and sing as there bluegrass gospel group. At the time it totally caught us by suprise. We had sang and played in church since we where just kids, but never had been to sing out any where as a group. Our church was very blessed with many talented young people who could play and sing. We prayed about it and asked Shawn and Mary Rose Street, Daniel Moses, and Judy Kindhart to help. After about a week or two we called the Snipes back and told them we would come. Bargain Food Store was the first place we started singing as a group. The group members where Justin Medlin, Jonathan Medlin, Tiffany Medlin, Shawn Street, MaryRose Street, Judy Kindhart, and Daniel Moses. Justin sang lead and harmony vocals, and he also played guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and harmonica. Later on he bagan to play the dobro also. Tiffany, MaryRose, and Judy sang lead and harmony vocals. Shawn played banjo and rhythm guitar. Jonathan played guitar and some mandolin. Daniel played the bass. At this point we had not even thought about a name, but thats how Mountain Harmony got started.
